I was really impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the team from estimate to completion. The staff of Legacy were terrific to work with giving us all the information and price options and letting us chose. They were timely and thorough. We will be using them again when needed.

# 1 I have worked with several arborists, and was disappointed by most of them. Harrison O’Connor, owner of Legacy Trees, is a breath of fresh air! He is extremely professional, unlike many of the others, who are lazy, sloppy, arrogantly resting on their laurels, and overcharging. Other arborists I’ve previously hired, have shown up late, with dirty hair, ripped tee shirts, and cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. They didn’t clean up thoroughly after the job, and even left their cigarette butts scattered all over my property! Conversely, Harrison and his crew arrive on time, are organized and appropriately dressed. They are skilled, hardworking, and thorough in their cleanup after the job is completed. Harrison has an ISA (International Society of Arborists) accreditation—which has been earned by only 100 arborists in NM. The test certifies him in 12 areas, including soil management, tree biology, safe work practices, as well as diagnosis and treatment. His prices are competitive. He risks his life doing this job, and is often suspended at great heights, using powerful equipment. He is worth every penny he charges! #2 Harrison is not just a technician; he is also an artist. By trimming my shrubbery and trees, he enhanced my home’s curb appeal, and enhanced its property values. My Corgies love the environment he designed! My own health is enhanced by the beauty he created. I enjoy spending more time in the back yard, de-stressing in my hammock, and reveling in my peaceful sanctuary. Harrison created magic with two of my trees. He pruned an unruly desert willow, and made it look graceful and elegant, like Charlize Theron, emerging from a pool! I had a half-dead juniper on my patio, clinging to life by a thread. He “bonsai-ed” it, and turned it into a lovely, vibrant sculpture. #3 Harrison O’Connor works with an eye fixed toward the future. The name of his business, Legacy Trees, says it all. In the future, he dreams of creating an Eco-Center. He is not about fixing things and disappearing. He educates the property owner, is accessible to be asked questions, and returns to oversee results, and maintain his work. Being an arborist is not just a job, but also a spiritual calling: Harrison’s philosophy is: “I don’t CREATE the beauty in the trees and shrubs.
