Irrigation Installation in Albuquerque Designed for Trees
Smart Irrigation Installation in Albuquerque
What matters most to a tree is the volume of water available to support photosynthesis. That volume depends on how much soil is holding water, which in turn depends on how much of the soil surface actually receives and absorbs irrigation. If water never reaches a portion of the soil surface — or doesn’t soak in — that soil remains dry, and dry soil doesn’t help the equation.
Our irrigation approach uses tubing with built-in, in-line emitters spaced evenly along its length. Typically, we install the tubing in a loose spiral around the tree, extending out to the edge of the branch tips — the so-called drip line. In irregularly shaped landscapes, the tubing can be cut and connected in many different configurations, allowing us to provide thorough coverage across the critical root zone.
Modern Irrigation Installation
When necessary, our arborists can completely redesign an existing system, including installing new valves and running new hard lines. While we are not a sprinkler company and do not install or repair conventional turf irrigation systems, we can help convert water-wasting turf setups into efficient irrigation systems that support trees and other well-adapted, lower-water plants.
